On the occasion of publishing of the new background image of the blog, I would like to have some words about our reasons to creating this website.
LeMonde.Asia origins from the idea of the free style of working and living by freelancers – we can work the same job from every corner of the world (leMonde), travel everywhere while still working and earning. The essential tools for freelancers are a laptop and Internet – which are now become basis for (almost) every country.
So why Asia? And why not TheWorld.Asia? As the writer is a Vietnamese who is now based in France, currently learning this beautiful language, she wants to show the connection of the west and the east, the shifting life from one culture to other culture while keeping the passion about translation, and enjoying the free life of a freelancer.
Visiting our website, we will discuss about works and life of freelance translators, who attempt to create the bridge of more than 2 languages, more than 2 cultures, and more than 2 persons! Welcome all of those who share the same interests. 🙂
